IPNA Word Kidney Day Contest 2024 – Announcement

WKD-LogoRGBwith_date_WKD

Dear members,

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who participated in the IPNA World Kidney Day Contest 2024 and contributed to its success! We received a total of 14 strong proposals.

Congratulations to Dr. Ethwako Geraldine Mlia Phiri (Malawi) for her winning project: “Raising Awareness of Paediatric Kidney Disease in Blantyre Malawi” supported by 4,000 USD from IPNA.

Also, congratulations to Prof. Jha Vivekanand (India) for his second-best project: “KITE: Kidney Insight Through Education – Screening Camps and Informative Sessions for School Children and Health Workers,” supported by 1,000 USD from IPNA.

Our WKD committee selected the winning projects based on their relevance, feasibility, and potential impact on people living with kidney disease, whose access to appropriate diagnostic services, treatment, and care is hindered.

Congratulations once again!

Best wishes,

Florencio McCarthy

IPNA World Kidney Day Committee Chair
