Please find here Scientific Programme of the ‘Virtual POCUS & Advances in Pediatric Critical Care Nephrology Course‘ to be held on 7, 8 August 2021. The meeting is endorsed by IPNA and the PCRRT foundation.
Day 1; 7th August; Saturday
-‘Point of Care Ultrasound [POCUS] Course in a critical child with Acute Kidney Injury‘.
There is a need for the Pediatric Nephrology fellows to be well versed with POCUS to use it in their clinics and in the PICU. This course shall deal with the basics and implementation of POCUS in the PICU.
– ‘COVID-19 in Children with Kidney Diseases: Experience Sharing & Challenges Faced‘: This session shall have speakers from multiple countries (including Germany, USA, Latin America, India, South Africa, Italy, Singapore, UK, Saudi Arabia and Brazil) sharing the challenges we face in managing sick children with COVID-19.
Day 2; 8th August; Sunday
Day 2 shall be dedicated to the ‘Newer Advances in diagnosis and management in critical children with acute kidney injury‘ including fluid overload, concept of corrected serum creatinine, NINJA and Risk Stratification Scores.
We shall have a special session on ‘Newer Extracorporeal Therapies‘ with lectures on newer devices (including CARPEDIEM, NIDUS, Aquadex, HF20 CRRT, SLED, Liposorber system and Continuous Flow peritoneal dialysis).
There shall be a Plenary lecture by Dr Michael Moritz on ‘Approach to Dysnatremias in children’ on this day.
We expect more than 500 Pediatric Nephrologists, Pediatricians, and Adult nephrologists from across the world to attend the meeting on the virtual platform.
