IPNA 2025 Strategic Planning (Update)

IPNA Members –

Since we officially launched the IPNA Strategic Planning process with a membership survey on June 2nd, we have received great feedback and insights from many of you, and we would like you all to be aware of what is happening and what will happen in the next several months with the IPNA Strategic Plan (and your role in that).

Working with Development Strategies Plus (DSP), our longtime consulting partner, to ensure anonymity, we received 215 surveys from our members. While that number is less that we received in 2022, the variety of respondents and regional representation remained the same. The data was analyzed in multiple ways to best assess key learning and themes.

DSP also conducted 26 interviews with IPNA members from all regions and levels of tenure, including junior and senior members. All of that formed the foundation for a lengthy Strategic Plan Data report that will be used for our work at the upcoming IPNA Strategic Planning retreat.

Susan and her partner debriefed the report with Michael and me and then with Franz and Rukshana in preparation for the retreat in Prague later this month. The assembled group for that will also include representatives from all regions as well as Council and non-council members and again, different levels of tenure.

The most significant outcome of the retreat, as in 2022 in Calgary, will be a draft of IPNA future goals and strategies. Those will come from the results of the surveys and interviews beyond any individual’s or regional interests. Your input is what has and will always guide us.

Following the retreat, we will share the Strategic Plan draft with all of you, our members, and ask you to complete a brief 5 question survey asking for input or thoughts on what has been drafted.

We will continue to update you on next steps and as in the past, we will also distribute the Strategic Plan Data report as well as notes from the retreat.

Thank you for your continued support and work on behalf of our mission and the children and families we serve.
