What we do
To ensure children worldwide have the best possible opportunity to receive expert nutritional care by:

The Paediatric Renal Nutrition Taskforce has published clinical practice recommendations and practice points on the dietary management of kidney diseases in children.
The PRNT has produced a number of practical guides for healthcare professionals. These highlight the key aspects of dietary management detailed in the CPRs/CPPs and are presented as a handy guide for use in clinic or at the patient’s bedside, enabling you to better provide nutritional care.
The dietary management of calcium and phosphate in children with CKD stages 2-5 and on dialysis
The PRNT has also developed resources for children, young people and their families to help them better understand and follow dietary restrictions that may be necessary: phosphate, potassium and salt. There are diet booklets, food posters and swap sheets, brightly illustrated with much of the information tabulated for easy reading.
The original resources are in English and have been adapted and/or translated for practice in: Belgium and the Netherlands, Canada and USA, France, Germany, Greece, India, Israel, Latin America, Italy, Lithuania, the Middle East, Poland and Spain.
The family guides are available for Healthcare Professionals to download on www.vitaflo-via.com. This is a website developed for healthcare professional education by Vitaflo (International) Ltd, a clinical nutrition company.
