IPNA Webinar: Nutritional management during AKI

FREE registration: HERE

Speakers: Larry Greenbaum (USA) , Molly Wong Vega (USA)
Moderator: Sharon Teo (Singapore) Acute kidney injury (AKI) in the intensive care unit (ICU) requires modifications in the nutritional prescription. The initiation of dialysis may permit optimization of nutrition in a patient previously limited by fluid and protein restriction, yet adjustments are necessary to account for the effects of dialysis. Similarly, modifications in the nutritional prescription may be required during AKI recovery, especially with cessation of dialysis. We will use a case-based approach to review clinical practice recommendations for nutritional management of AKI in the ICU.
